I clear coated some chrome valve covers too :)

Well, last night I didn't get to clear coating my engine. I went to a movie instead. X2: X-Men United. It was a good movie, although for people like myself and who I went with, of course we found faults with it. Not carrying with the story line and all. Anyways, today I clear coated. Two coats like the directions say. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself, and I do. Tomorrow the engine is going back inside and hopefully on Monday or Tuesday I will be getting my new head unit. Hopefully I won't have the same problems with this one as the last...

WOW, so today, I sprayed my engine. It's all nice and shiny. Black is a very good color on it. I removed the injector lines, and some metal pipes before I sprayed it. The injector lines look to be stainless, of some type I do believe. Not very magnetic... And as for the metal pipes, under all that nasty paint is more stainless *swoons* it is oh so very nifty neato! So once those pipes are free from the paint, they are going back on the engine, then I'm going to spray the entire thing down with clear coat, so it is extra super duper shiny. Once I find my airsep, I will put that on too. Saturday is graduation for some of my college friends. I doubt that I will go and see them off. Mainly due to me putting the engine back inside my boat. I'll probably send a card or something... Well, maybe not. It really wouldn't have enough time to get there now anyways. So today, before I sprayed my engine, I changed the filters on it. Two fuel filters and a primary water seperator filter. Boy wasn't it dark red in there. Looked alot like blood, only not. I remember the diesel going in kinda pinkish... But maybe that's just the dye for regular road diesel. Since a fuel truck comes to deliver fuel it is probably a different color of red. Yeah. Fuel trucks are cool. The regular flow rate is like 40 gpm, but with a flick of a switch you can have 90 gpm. I don't like using it on that one though. Kinda afraid that the pressure will overcome my fuel tank vents. Stoopid EPA doesn't like the nice shine on the water for some reason. Probably all the post cards of ducks with oil on them... Hey... Like water off a duck's back... See the oil is a good thing *smily*
