Cougar/Mountain Lion/Puma ~ The Puma spirit
represents power, grace and stealth in
darkness, but its real power lies in the
silence of its eerie, unblinking stare that
seems to bore deep into one's soul. This
teaching can help us to discover the benefits
of concentration, deep contemplation and
prayer. As we peer into the darkness of the
unknown to feel its power, we can be guided by
our puma friend to the light on the other side.
The puma is extremely quiet during the hunt.
It knows when to be invisible and when to make
its awesome presence known. Silence is its
sword and power. Silence is highly respected
among American Indians and is seen as a holy
state of consciousness as we quietly behold the
grace and glory of the Creator. It is said
that silence speaks words of the Great Mystery.
When the student is ready, the puma teacher may
bring knowledge of this powerful medicine.Cougar/Mountain Lion/Puma's Wisdom Includes:
Using leadership power wisely and without ego
Balancing power, intention, strength
Gaining self-confidence
Freedom from guilt
Cunning

It looks like I will be getting a new desk tomorrow. Why tomorrow you might ask. Go ahead. Ask. "Why tomorrow Cat?" Well that is when the sales catalog starts of course! I was going to buy it online at Staples since it is in their big sales booklet and they have free shipping in all of New England. The big book price is
hehehe I just left and watched a moooooovie baby, yeah
Goldmember if you were curious
The big book price is $109.99 ($129.99 reg). And I told myself that sure as shit, it would go on sale right after I bought it. I meant to buy it online last night. Today the sale catalog came out. Sale price $79.94. SAVINGS GALORE!!! So since the sale is tomorrow, I go buy tomorrow! It is a Z-Line Legacy glass L-desk. Steel and glass. Just enough to put my stuff on. Right now I have a faux wood desk, top of the line back in the 80's top of the line and high quality, not the crappy shit you get now. It has 3 drawers to my left and where it makes the bend *completing the L shape* it is raised 3 inches or so and it has a file drawer and another smaller drawer under that. Also under it it has two shelves to store things, like your adding machine paper, typewriter cartridges and envalopes or so, I use it to put my higher quality paper and some cards. My foto paper and business card papers are in the smaller drawer under the file drawer and some more cards and card stuffies are in the middle of the 3 drawers. On top of the desk I have about 15 inches of desk space which coincidently is covered. There are some glass bead counters in a plastic box quite a few papers... a book uh a cd, some magazines and the big book and sales flyer. To the right of that is my cd writer with my external hard drive on top of that with a 17" flat screen on top of that with a speaker behind all that. My laptop, in the cradel is next with the modem stood up to the right of that. Then the L is completed with my subwoofer and fan ontop of that with the mouse that is plugged into the laptop cradle *for Quake mostly, well, only ^weeee first person shooterz^ with the mouse pad originally from the desktop*. And in the corner of the desk is my hp PSC 750 (printer-scanner-copier) with some cd-r media in its case ontop of that. Also on the mouse pad is the cordless fone I just brought up... I wonder who just called... When I swivel my chair 90 degrees to the right I face my keyboard for the desktop and the monitor for the desktop *yay for crt technology* Ooooooh my zip drive for my laptop is there too, with a disk in it and the other speaker is infront of the crt monitor with my almost gone bottle of cologne *insta-shower* right next to that. Then there is the 2.5" hard drive external enclosure *which I got to fix my laptop since something got deleted and it would not turn on... fucking thing* with my sisters laptop hard drive in there, since I took her laptop and put my stuff in it since I broke mine... see earlier post. Then there is the mousie for the desktop, sans pad... I should buy an optical mousie. And finally there is the desktop tower, sans side panel for maximum cooling, also lets me look inside and see the fan go SPINNY SPINNY SPINNY. In front of that there is a bottle of Living Nightmare BLOOD... don't ask me why. Behind the tower is my DAZZLE thing that I plug my camcorder into to make moooovies and stuff from tape media to MPG or AVI... once I take the time to figure that out. Also there is the cable that I plug my camcorder into so I can transfer pictures from it to the desktop. Ontop of the tower is a magazine, 3 books and a cd (in the case) and an encyclopedia. On top of the crt monitor there are some papers *checks paper* OOOOH! It's blank! I can use that. Um 4 CD-ROM box for Instant Stitch DELUXE EDITION for my sister, I should probably install that... a tower hobbies catalog the storage box for my 2.5" hdd enclosure some uh... mail? hmm a premium paper container with some random papers and misprints ontop of that with 4 magazines. Also I have an almost empty box of Berry Burst Cherrios *strawberry* ontop of the external hard drive. Cause it's yummy. YAY DEHYDRATED FRUIT! I also have a marker some pencils and various pens on here in places along with a gel wrist support for the desktop, but since I use the laptop 90% of the time, I don't use it that much.
So with the new desk all of my laptop stuff will go to that. Laptop, cradle, external hard drive, modem, cd writer, subwoofer and speakers, fan most likely and the mousie and flat screen. If I get an optical mouse... I might put that there too but out of the way since A) I don't use a mouse that much and B) there are no drawers with the glass desk. But then I will have a place to write, draw, and do other stuffies.
So life, such as it is, goes on for this one. Seemingly bouncing from day to day. Light, dark, it's all the same. Countless nights infront of the warm glow of the monitor(s) *basks ~ GLEEEEEEEE* with some meager success. Yay. Yay for thy boobles. Er, I mean. Nudity is bad? What? SINCE WHEN!
*twitch*
ANY-hoo...
I've been thinking more about my lil webcomix plan. But the total lack of skillz still presents itself. It's hard being me I have to imagine. I can only assume that since I do not see anyone else being me. Not that anyone would want to...
But it is what it is. Is it not?
Racing season is finally over. Ended yesterday *yesterday being Saturday of course!* And if any of y'all saw my away message on Friday or Saturday you would have known that I was gone. Since it said "yeah, i'm all like *away* and stuff for friday and saturday so leave a message" or some such thing along those lines.
I just realized that I am rather captivating!
Neat huh?
Back to the subject at hand. I went down on Friday because the races had been postponed from its oringinal date to today, being Sunday. But then I guess they had something else to do today, so they pushed it to yesterday, being Saturday. And since I didn't want to have to get up early and go boating in the wee hours of the morn' I went Friday night. Took about 2.5 hours to get there, weren't going my usual cruising speed (32-33 mph) just because I didn't have to. It was an alright day so I took in the sights, such as they are. It wasn't too snotty out on the ocean, mild chop some wind, probably 7-10 knots or so, waves were a lil too close for my liking though, makes for a bumplely ride *I just made up "bumplely" cause I'm just so damn cool*
Amanda wanted me to put something about her in here.
MandyPants04 (7:25:36 PM): put something about me in it
So, here we go, off on a different tangent. Uh... She has yellow hair. I think it is dyed though. Yeah, probably. Infact, I know it is. I think she would look better with black hair.... mmmmm... black...*twitch*
So, back to the bumples. Wasn't all that bad. It is quite the sight though, being a fisherman on their boat doing what it is they do. With the bait and slime and mud and bird droppings *poopies!!!! AYIEEEEEEEE run awayz!!!* all over everything. Chugging along the Atlantic and it's other subsidaries doing, uh I don't know... 15 mph or so on a GOOD day with the wind and tide behind you and all of a sudden this... this... this... MONSTROSITY comes flying out of the fog and blows past you doing 30 some odd... One can only imagine. And there I am, singing a little song in my mind, dancing as much as the conditions will permit whilst I try to navigate my way along all the bouys in a varied rainbow of colors bobbing up and down in the water *where else would they be self? In the air!!! Geez you are so lame sometimes* But I digress.
Aren't paragraphs fun? Even though there is hardly, HARDLY a set form these follow or even a basic knowlage of the engrish *no, not a typo* language behind to support such follies. So uh... Yeah. Waves. Lots and lots of waves. Up and down, up and down, side to side, to and fro, back and forth, yada yada yada. So finally, FINALLY I get there. I notice a boat that looks familiar so I plod along towards them and sure enough it is who I think it is. So I shoot the poo with them for a bit and gain a basic knowlage of the locale and then proceed up to the dock where I tie the boat up. The current from the flood tide into the lil inlet there was not like what I had imagined, so after a breif pause and decision making I got where I wanted to be. After a few minutes, perhaps not anymore than 30 I had the invitation to be driven to one of the local fooderies which I partook of the offer rather than just... not... going.... I had the fried scallops. Which, surprisingly was a smaller portion than I had anticipated. But I had some strawberry rhubarb pie, cold ~ not heated, with no ice cream! Which is how I prefer my pie. It wasn't all that bad. But it had pumpkin pie spice in it! GAH! Another thing I had not anticipated, espically not to inflict such a drastic change to my pallet. So after some food I got back to the boat, after becoming totally disoriented by my location, and the twisty turny roads at speeds far exceeding what I would have driven them at *somehow I went in a circle*, and tried to go to bed. It was early. Far earlier than I normally get myself to bed *anywhere from 10pm-2am nightly, depending on whom I am currently having intercourse ^not sexual! I know what you were thinking flem, shame on you!^ with* it was only 8ish or so. Finally get some sleep into me. I can't for the life of me figure out why I am so sleep deprived *basks* ^weeee warm glowies!^
Either way, my night thoughts were rather uneventful. Day broke, it was actually quite nice in the morning. Cool. Crisp. No noise. A very yay day. Then the sun came up and it got hot as hell. I'm not big on hot. I will take cold over hot anyday. But not too cold! I sign up ($20) got a free hat *yay ~ denim* bought 2 t-shirts ($20 ~ or $10 each since they were post dated and all they were cheaper than the usual $15, thats a total savings of $10!!! More for MEEEEEEE) and all that jazz. Boats came in. Rafted up along side me. Had good chuckles with good friends. Etc, etc. Went out to the races, which took a long time. Damn noobs! Don't know how to line up. Bleh. Anyways my race got broken up into heats. Since there were 8 boats in it. First heat was comprised of 5 boats, the first 3 of which would go into the second heat... of 3 boats? But that would mean that those 3 would be the first 3... uh... so why don't they all go together? That makes no sense... wtf! Anyways I finally got by the guy who I had been coming up second to since race #3 *blowing transmissions along the way, such fun right?* and I wish I had gotten a foto of it. Eventhough I know he was holding back, it was just a heat after all, just toying with me *what an asshole!* since I firmly believe that he has the E-6 pump off of a Mack on that Deere of his *thats a 600+ hp fuel pump on an engine that's "375 hp"... plth.. yeah right. Explain the twin intercoolers then fool! Ah well. ^bitter^ I will just have to come up with something for next year, if I race at all* But the second heat, which was combined with the race before mine since they got *confused* and wanted to do it over again because they thought it was a restart... *damn noobs* so we all went down the course... That was messed up. And I got second for the actual race, didn't surprise me at all. But the joke is on him! Because he didn't sign up for points until the second to last race. That means the other points he got from the other 3 races don't ~ mean ~ squat! That means I win for the year anyways!!! PLUS you need to complete 3 races to qualify for the points anyways and since he only did two... I GET THOSE POINTS AS WELL! *glee* I will have to keep track of this to make sure I get what I deserve, and he gets what he deserves. Muahahahaha. That will teach him from going from an 800hp class down to 400hp class. Bastard
So then it was the hat drawing. Late in the day was the hour. Something like 3pm. Races started at 10:30 am! There were 84 boats there. Big crowd. So it took a while to go through all the names. Blah blah blah I'm talking to some people sitting on the rail of the dock and they are all getting like $50 cash and some odds and ends like dock lines and stuff that equals about $45 - $60. My name gets called, and granted while I am not paying attention I still notice that and wander up. Chatting hapily with the people running the race I pop my hand into the prize bucket and pull out a slip with a prize on it, handing it to the lady. And to my wonderment... it's not $50 nor a dockline or anything like that. It's an aluminum hatch! WOWIE! That's $300 bucks worth of hatch! The biggest prize they had. Man oh man. Yeppie! I GOT A HATCH!!! So of course I grabbed that and zipped right down to the boat and put it on board, lest someone try to buy it off me. The prizes were so many in number that it went to the 3rd drawing of peoples names. I later got $50 and a certificate for a 4' trap of "my choosing" from some trap company that I admit, hadn't heard of. But they were right next to some I have. So it's all good. The hat drawing finally ended and I got to the boat again after some himming and hawing with the locals of the races and everything, helping some with their items they won, taking them to their vehicles and I got out of there about 6 pm. The sun doesn't stay very long here. So I fired the boat up and putted out the inlet where we were, trying to keep my wake down since I really don't like being an ass making everyone bob in the water when I pass. I saw some boats down the bay a ways, including one I raced last year *and at that particular race we had an ^incident^ I guess you could call it. Evidently I got too close as I passed and splashed them with water? Not calling into fact that they were making rude jestures towards me and the other racers at the time but that is a different story* and that boat can't even go as fast as I normally cruise. And with time and tide being against me I decided that "fuck it, I'm going home" and I throttled up to my cruising speed of 33 mph and proceeded to go down the bay in a fury of spray. The wind wasn't all that much so the water was surpringly calm, the waves maybe only 1-2 feet high, dispersed nicely. So I blew right past him and kept going. Only took me a little over 2 hours to get home. I turned the bend and was headed north just as the sun was going down over the horizon, and had enough light so that I didn't NEED radar although I always have it on *never know when an eclipse will happen right?* So fun fun. I got a trophy. $150 for second place. A case of pepsi for being cool! *and they had some left over and since I was the last person to leave they gave me some, but I'm still cool. Everyone that counts at the races adores me, as should each and every one of YOU!* And that is about it. Who will know what next year will bring. Maybe I will be able to reach my goal of turning 3000 rpm *only turn shy of 2500 rpms under load right now* with that kind of speed... I doubt if I will get beat in my class. Just have to figure out how to do it and keep everything together. Funsies
