I just downloaded a popup blocker. It seems to be doing quite well! ...Although when I went to Blogger.com one got through :-\ But it is much better than being swamped by countless ones. Lets see if it controls the programs being installed without my knowlage :)

?I have no idea what is going on with my laptop. The Internet is a bad bad bad place. Somehow it
keeps getting programs loaded onto it. I suspect those damn pop-ups... fuckers

At any rate I am on the desktop. Magical marvel that it is. Boy I am sitting far away from the
screen, I can just barely make the letters out. And the keyboard is different so it is a process to
say the very least. I guess no one understood my last entry. I can't say that I am surprised.

For this entry let's look at a song, shall we?

13. Numb 03:05
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless
Lost under the surface
I don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure
Of walking in your shoes

[Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow]
Every step that I take is another mistake to you

I've
Become so numb
I can't feel you there
Become so tired
So much more aware
I'm becoming this
All I want to do
Is be more like me
And be less like you

Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly
Afraid to lose control
'Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you

[Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow]
Every step that I take is
Another mistake to you
[Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow]
And every second I waste
Is more than I can take

And I know
I may end up failing too
But I know
You were just like me
With someone disappointed in you

What a neat song. I must admit that they are sounding better and better with each release. And
despite the screaming and whatnot the singer actually does have a very nice voice. As far as the
meaning of the song... I have no idea! Surprise surprise! But I will pick it apart anyways.

I'm sure that we all have felt at one time or another that we were being pressured to do something
that we felt was just totally wrong or something along those lines. Trying to break free from the
chains that our "mentors" set up for us. Their protective cocoon of sorts a little too tight.
Choking the life out of us. Not being able to be your own person. But we must ask ourselves:
what is it that would make us happy? Would it be doing a specific thing, or being at a specific
place? What conditions need to be present to make it all that we hoped that it could be. And
what do others think that we need to be doing? Should we emulate those authority figures in our
lives? Who says that they are on the right track? If we deviate from the plan slightly or even a
great deal, off on some tangent far away from the basis of everything else we know, would we
still come back to the same focal point in the end? Is it all pre-ordained? What power do we
truly have over our actions and the outcomes of those actions. How long do we have before we
become a complete and total social zombie of sorts, not being able to take joy in the simplest
things of life. Catching the scent of clover on a warm summer evening. The sight of your loved
one as they cross before your eyes, a chance glance towards each other and the slight smile that
brings. The tingle your skin gets just as you connect with someone, the sensations shooting up
your spine into your brain, exploding into a supernova of emotion.

How can we bring ourselves out of the epic abyss that is perceived? What is the right thing to do
anyways? And who says that it isn't wrong! If we can't be trusted to justify things for ourselves,
letting our own paths cris-cross like some huge highway system full of complex overpasses and
exits. Society as a whole is tainted with the past speculations of the future. They say human
nature is to deceive and kill. What about compassion towards others? Where can there be light if
it is all enshrouded in darkness. The void can't possibly contain all. And if it does then why have
hope for individuality at all? There has to have been at least a few people capable of independent
thought. Further down that course we run into religion, stating more stipulations towards right
and wrong. Good. Bad. Light. Dark. Heaven. Hell. Angels. Demons.

Where would you side in this cosmic tragedy? And even then, could you stand yourself being where you were? Or would you want to pull away and find another course through the chasm, forming your own destiny?

OK! Last night the engine drawing happened. It was supposed to have been back in August but not enough tickets had been sold. Well last night after cutting tickets from 300 to only 160 *just barely covering the discounted cost* we were still 25 away from being able to get rid of it. So instead we opted for a $10,000 cash prize. So all of you that were offered a ticket but didn't buy one, see what you missed??? Wankers

On to the post

I will now put a list of the deck I made back on the 18th that won because I KNOW you all want to see what it was made of.

White Cards:

Blessed Breath
Horizon Seed
Indomitable Will
Kabuto Moth
Kami of Ancient Law
Kitsune Diviner - 2
Kitsune Healer
Konda, Lord of Eiganjo
Konda's Hatamoto
Pious Kitsune
Silent-Chant Zubera
Vassal's Duty

Black Cards:

Ashen-Skin Zubera
Bloodthirsty Ogre *foil*
Dance of Shadows
Devouring Greed
Distress
Kokusho, the Evening Star
Pull Under
Rend Flesh
Scuttling Death
Soulless Revival
Waking Nightmare

Artifact Cards:

Honor-Worn Shaku
No-Dachi
Sensei's Divining Top

Land Cards:

Eiganjo Castle
Plains - 8
Swamp - 8

So as you can plainly see, it is a good deck. Not a HOLYSHITLOOKATTHISMEGADECK but it is still a good deck. I lucked out as it was. Now, the physics of the deck.

Devouring Greed is a very good card. Just look at the ability. If I sacrifice spirits to it, not only does it do two damage BUT an additional two for each spirit done that way AND I gain that life! So in the deck here are the following spirits: Horizon Seed, Kabuto Moth, Kami of Ancient Law, Silent-Chant Zubera, Ashen-Skin Zubera, Scuttling Death and Kokusho, the Evening Star. So that is 7 spirits total. So 2 damage, plus 2 per spirit making a total of 16 is taken from them and given to me. THEN since I put Kokusho, the Evening Star into the mix if you look at that card, when it leaves play all my opponents lose 5 and I gain that life! So since it was 1 on 1 thats another 5 life pushing it up to 21 (you only start with 20) so it is a wicked combo. Then if that wasn't enough putting the Silent-Chant Zubera in there that gives me another 2 per Zubera put into the grave yard that turn and since Ashen-Skin Zubera is a Zubera thats another 4 to me and then Ashen-Skin Zubera's ability kicks in too which discards a card for each Zubera put into the graveyard so when the Devouring Greed combo is executed in that way my opponent loses 21 life points *leaving them with negative one theoreticly* and they discard two cards while I GAIN 21+4 for a total of 25 and chuckle to myself. All of this mayhem from just two black mana and two generic. What a combo!!!

So the power cards of this deck are Kokusho, the Evening Star (for obvious reasons) and Konda, Lord of Eiganjo. Kokusho, the Evening Star is a 5/5 flyer with that kick ass ability. While pricy for two black and 4 generic that isn't all that uncommon, it IS a dragon after all. Konda, Lord of Eiganjo on the other hand is a 3/3 with Vigilance (doesn't tap to attack which is good, very useful) has Bushido (translates into "the way of the warrior") 5 so when he is blocked or blocks he turns into an 8/8 AND to top it all off he is INDESTRUCTIBLE!!! All for the low, low cost of two white and five generic *that's more than a dragon!*. Talk about useful cards! Another semi-combo/useful strategy is the Sensei's Divining Top/Honor-Worn Shaku combo *it's not really a combo, but it works like one*. The Sensei's Divining Top lets me search for cards *up to 3* and control how they come up in order. Then let's say that a good card is in those 3, I can put that one on top, use the tops other ability and trade the top for that card so I can play it. The Honor-Worn Shaku just gives me some mana so I don't have to keep using my lands up. Not exactly a *combo* but it works just fine:) Another little thing tossed in there is between Konda, Lord of Eiganjo and Konda's Hatamoto. Konda's Hatamoto says that as long as I have a Legendary Samurai, Konda, Lord of Eiganjo gets +1/+2 and has Vigilance so since Konda, Lord of Eiganjo IS a Legendary Samurai Konda's Hatamoto becomes 2/4 with Vigilance and Bushido 1. WOO! Although I never got to play Konda's Hatamoto. One card that I put in there, thinking at the time that I would use it alot was Vassal's Duty. Not only did I never draw it, but I only put it in there for Konda, Lord of Eiganjo and since he is indestructible... it was pretty dumb to do so. Although I suppose that Kokusho, the Evening Star could have used it since that is Legendary as well, but if that went to the graveyard it helped me out... So I don't know why I missed that. I also had Minamo, School at Water’s Edge in the deck because I misread it, but I sideboarded that out for a different card.
The Kitsune Diviner is helpful *you notice that I had two of them in here* since there are lots and LOTS of spirits in this set, and most have their own ability I can "use" them on their controllers turn and mess up their plans *evil laugh* hehehe. So that is sneaky.
Kitsune Healer has two abilities it can do. The first prevents 1 damage to target creature or player and the second prevents ALL damage to target legendary creature. Since the helpful dragon and the indestructible don't really need the second ability, the first one was the reason it was in the deck. Kinda pricey too for a 2/2 for one white and 3 generic, but the ability! Pious Kitsune, I wish I had more of those in this deck. One white and 2 generic for a 1/2 isn't too bad by itself. But once again, the ability! At the start of my turn I put a counter on it. Then at any time I can remove one to gain one life point. These jewels would be great if I had Eight-and-a-Half-Tails in my deck. Since the rest of its ability is that if Eight-and-a-Half-Tails is in play I gain 1 life for each counter on it at the beginning of my turn, so instead of removing them I just let them pile up. I was using it for one life a turn. If I could get them to pile up I could get tons each turn! WHOOPIE! The combo that wasn't... If there are more Pious Kitsunes then that is even MORE!!!
Pull Under is in there because it's -5/-5 and an instant, so I can use it... instantly! My turn, your turn, someone elses turn, doesn't matter! So that is enough to kill a dragon, if you have 5/5 and you use a -5/-5 then it's 0/0!
Eiganjo Castle is in there because yeah the ability, although I didn't need it but more importantly because it gives me some white mana which is good. No combo here.
The other objects of this deck were making my opponent discard their hand. Cards that did that are Ashen-Skin Zubera, Distress and Waking Nightmare.
Soulless Revival lets me get a creature card from my graveyard, so if I wanted to get my dragon back for example I play this and get it. Or I could splice it onto another card and save it for a second use! Nifty!

So that is basicly the deck. Very useful. Good cards I drew. Finally being able to win some matches. WOO! I also had enough good cards when I made this deck to make a second deck. That one was red/blue and I never got a chance to use it. So I don't know how it would work. Oh well. Maybe next time :-D
